Absolutely! We may be based in Metro Atlanta, GA but we have and continue to serve clients across the nation and the globe. Where ever there is web, so shall we be.

It may be easier to say which services we do NOT offer. designporium is used to customizing projects towards specific goals of our clients. Having said that, we tend to take on things we have never done before all the time – which means that our experience is vast.

Throughout the projects we have taken on, we remain persistent in not doing the following, as we do not find ourselves experts in them:

❌ HOSTING
designporium does not host our websites on site. We partner with siteground hosting and would be happy to set up hosting with them on behalf of our clients. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own hosting accounts, post setup.

❌ DOMAIN MANAGEMENT
designporium does not own any client domains. We will redirect nameservers to website(s) designed by us.

❌ EMAIL MANAGEMENT
designporium does not manage emails or email servers. We would be happy to set up emails and send you the mail configurations, however.

❌ WEB SECURITY
designporium does not set up all our websites with SSL certificates and ensure that hosting is set up with a secure server, but we do not perform web security metrics throughout our process(es).

❌ DATABASE DEVELOPMENT
designporium does not develop databases. We partner with our database division company, hatchidata, on all such development

❌ BACKUPS
designporium maintains backups of all delivered websites for a period of 3 months post delivery. Thereafter, we may not have a backup of your site available.

❌ OWNERSHIP
designporium does not own any of our deliverable(s). Clients maintain 100% ownership at all times, no negotiations.

❌ LEGAL BUSINESS SETUP
designporium does not offer legal business setup, trademark, copyright, or any other legal business setup options.

There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components; we design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. We’ll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the $4,500 range, but can be more or less depending on needs. Our starter sites start at $2,850 and have limited functionality. We’d be happy to provide no obligation quotes upon request.

On average, we shoot for a three to five week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.

We exclusively design WordPress websites. Over 455 million websites use WordPress as of 2021, and that number only continues to grow. Considering there are about 1.3 billion total websites across the internet, that’s an impressive number.

Don’t worry, we’ll teach you how to manage it and help you along the way.

Yes! We love it when our clients take control of their website and learn to manage it on their own. We’ll provide you with any desired tutorials to help you learn your way around and even offer one on one training. (Note: We love to answer your questions!)

Once you receive your quote, we offer two options:

Pay in Full
payment up front and in full will allow for a 5-10% discount, depending on the project.

60% Up Front and Remaining 40% When Done
this payment options allows for the majority of the project cost to be completed up front and if added costs come on, they can be paid for at the end of the project(s).

We accept checks, cash app, PayPal, and all major credit cards.

Hosting is super important so we may give you a few options, depending on which hosting you have. We do not host websites. We suggest siteground hosting but can work with any provided hosting as well.

We can for an additional fee but we are only an email away! We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need, and we won’t disappear once the site is launched. We’ve been doing this for many years, so we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

SEO isn’t an overnight strategy. The first few months are dedicated to making updates to your site and waiting for the search engine spiders to crawl and index the changes. Depending on your website, the amount of work it requires, and the crawl frequency of the search engine spiders, it typically takes 3-9 months to begin seeing new rankings.

Traffic is typically a direct result of an increase in rankings. Once your rankings begin to increase, you will also begin to see gradual increases in traffic to your website. Keep in mind that new rankings and traffic are not instantaneous, it takes a few months to complete the necessary updates and get them indexed before you will begin to see these increases.

Achieving the rankings is only half the battle. Since the search engines are constantly evolving and updating their algorithms, your rankings can fluctuate from one day to the next. Maintaining current rankings is just as involved as getting new ones; it takes constant research, updates, and testing to keep your URL ranking in the top positions. Discontinuing SEO after you’ve achieved rankings will result in a loss of rankings fairly quickly.

Although link building can be an important aspect of SEO, purchased links and links from spammy websites or ‘bad neighborhood’ sites can actually hurt your rankings rather than help. Search engines are constantly looking out for links like these. In fact, Google’s ‘Penguin’ series of algorithm updates is geared primarily towards penalizing sites who obtain links unnaturally through link exchange schemes and purchasing links or have links from spam sites. A recovery from a link penalty is not an easy one and can result in significant traffic losses.

Easy Answer: No. I am not Google.

designporium cannot guarantee something they can’t control and beware of any company that claims they can. There is no way to know 100% how a site will rank because of the search engine’s constantly evolving nature and to guarantee rankings would be unethical. Also, beware of companies claiming they have a special relationship with Google or can ‘priority submit’ to Google to guarantee ranking positions. This is completely false and untrue, and Google itself warns against companies that make these claims.

Technically… yes. But why would you want to? Are you just a lawyer? If you were looking for a lawyer that specializes in what you do, how would you search for you? That’s what we would go after. We’d also perform extensive keyword research via the keyword research tools to ensure we capture all the keywords that match you.

General terms are highly competitive and would be extremely costly to rank for based on the time and resources it would take to achieve rankings for a term that broad.

  1. Technical SEO: This is where you should start when it comes to your SEO strategy. Analyzing your website’s technical SEO will help you understand how well your content and keywords can be crawled, indexed, and explored by a search engine.
  2. On-Page SEO: This pillar has a bit of a crossover with the first pillar, as you want to make sure your content is well-structured on your technically optimized site. Once you have analyzed the current status of your content, you can then begin to apply optimizations through keyword research to make it even better.
  3. Off-Page SEO: Off-page SEO is also known as authority building or link building. Incorporating links on your site allows Google to better understand how relevant and reliable your content is, allowing you to generate strong organic rankings. We “connect what should be connected” by creating content that is deserving of trustworthy links.
  4. Content: If there’s one thing you probably already know about SEO, it’s that content is king. Creating valuable and consistent content on your site allows searchers to get their questions answered and fulfill their query goal.

It really depends on what we’re doing. So many clients come up with an idea of what they want and after we brainstorm we come up with something completely different. It’s all a process. We’ll walk you through it.

While we find out pricing market fair, we always reward our military with a 10% discount and we often run promotions. In addition, we offer bundle discounts. Just ask 🙂

You do! Always. Unless there are separate contracts with third parties such as illustrators, writers or photographers that state otherwise, all rights to the final artwork (this does not include any unused concepts) transfer to you once your project is paid in full. I reserve the right to use the work in my portfolio and for self-promotional purposes. Details will be in the project contract.
